UHU is a German consumer adhesives brand founded in 1932 by pharmacist August Fischer in Bühl, Baden, who developed the world's first ready-to-use clear synthetic resin adhesive. Operated by UHU GmbH in Bühl, the brand offers paper glues, craft adhesives, instant glues, construction adhesives and sealants sold in over 125 countries. UHU is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Italian family-controlled Bolton Group, headquartered in Milan. The majority of UHU products are manufactured at the company's headquarters site in Bühl, Germany, which also hosts its research and development activities.
